Traditionally known as a draper, we still stock wellingtons, work boots, work socks, flat caps and rain-wear.

Known countywide for our selection of wellingtons there are used for farming, walking the dog, playing outdoors, short walks, concerts, some sports such as horse riding and traditionally, hunting. Men’s wellies, women’s wellies and children’s wellies are very similar in style, they usually only vary in colour or pattern. Many children’s boots come with popular cartoon characters and are available from size 6 (EU 24), up to the youths size 7 (EU41) in more traditional colours. We have a ladies Dunlop navy wellington from in sizes 4-7 (EU37-42) Mens boots come in a large range of industrial, general purpose and lightweight to accommodate all needs. All steel toe pass all EU safely standards for construction sites. Mens boots range in price from €17.
When purchasing wellingtons allow that they are tight enough to make sure your feet don’t slip out but loose enough so you can put thick socks under them, without them pinching any part of your feet or legs. If standard wellies are tight around your calf, we do sell a range of wide calf boots.

We also stock an extensive selection of safety boots, shoes and durable outdoor footwear. Safety boots are normally worn in and around a construction site or industrial setting and they very often have steel as their toe cap however nowadays there are more styles which use composite materials. All safety boots come with markings to which indicate their international standards and levels of protection from impact, electric shock to chemical hazards. More and more people are moving towards Composite Safety Shoes or Comp Toe’s as they are known as they are more lightweight compared to steel toe caps. Not all safety footwear is waterproof however buying a water resistant spray and coating your boots can vastly improve their longevity.

We have a selection of walking waterproof boots which prove popular for hiking, walking the dog or general workplace needs. These boots have good ankle support for rough terrain and good grips to prevent slipping.
